Real Options

We offer services to women of all backgrounds and beliefs without discrimination or judgment.

Pregnancy represents a transition in life. Plans are interrupted and relationships are put to the test. There is so much to negotiate. You might be struggling to find someone who will answer your questions.

  • How can I finish my University degree and still have a child?
  • I’ve just had the career break that I’ve been waiting for. How can a pregnancy fit in with this?
  • I’m here on a student visa. My parents would be devastated to know I was pregnant.
  • I have no way of supporting myself and a child. It’s too hard.
  • How can I talk to my parents about this?
  • I’d feel judged by everyone if I proceeded with my pregnancy.
  • I really want this child but my partner doesn’t. I’m trapped.
  • I’m here on holidays. How can a baby fit in with this?

Your choices:

We believe in the value of informed choice. Our trained volunteers will be able to answer your questions. We can provide the tools that you need to navigate your way through this time. What is the best way forward? What support is available?

If you know you are pregnant then there are three main options.

Before considering abortion, take some time to understand what is involved. Abortion can have a long term effect on women’s emotional and mental health, so we recommend obtaining information from a variety of sources.

  • Abortion procedures and what is involved?
  • How will I feel after the abortion?
  • What are the short term and long term consequences to consider?
  • What are the potential risks of an abortion?
  • What rights do I have with abortion providers?

We do offer accurate information about abortion, as well as post abortion support.

For many women adoption seems like an impossible choice, yet in many situations it can be a loving and courageous decision to make. There is much support available to help you through the process and there is always the opportunity to change your mind.

In adoption these days, you can choose to be an active part of your child’s life or you can remain anonymous until your child is an adult. The birth parents are involved in the selection of adoptive parents for their child. There are many options for you. We can put you in touch with adoption consultants who are able to talk through the details with you if you are considering this option.
